About
I'm a senior backend engineer in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. I've spent six-plus years building backend systems in Go: workflow engines, money paths, event pipelines, and more recently the infrastructure that makes AI agents dependable enough to run in production. This page is the long version; there's also a one-page PDF CV, or just email me.

Experience
Senior Backend Engineer · Shopware
Jul 2025 – presentRemote, Germany. On the core team behind Shopware Nexus, the event-driven integration platform (iPaaS), GA since May 2026.
- Designed and shipped the Temporal-based workflow engine that executes every Nexus integration, first commit to GA cutover in three months (Feb–May 2026), on a Terraform-owned AWS stack (self-hosted Temporal, ECS, KMS), scaled across 16 Kafka partitions at hundreds of thousands of merchant events a day.
- Implemented the universal AI-assisted connector on a registry-driven framework of 20+ self-contained Go connectors: integrations become declarative descriptors run by one generic executor, drafted by AI from an API spec and reviewed by the merchant in chat before it persists, with curated descriptors (Magento, WooCommerce, Odoo, ERPNext), OAuth2 PKCE auth, and SSRF/DNS-rebind guards, cutting new-integration delivery from weeks to days.
- Embedded two MCP servers in the platform API: one powers an AI chat panel that generates complete workflows from natural language, the other is a merchant-facing OAuth 2.1 resource server (RFC 9728/8707) with per-tenant rate limits and audit logging. Also built the org's docs-search MCP server with hybrid RAG retrieval over Qdrant.
- Built an autonomous connector factory on the Pi SDK (pi.dev): coding agents research third-party APIs and ship full-stack connectors, gated by an LLM eval harness of critic sessions grading each stage: a new connector every few days instead of a sprint of engineering each.
Senior Backend Engineer · Wildberries
Mar 2023 – Jul 2025Remote. Largest e-commerce marketplace in the CIS; field-services platform for 16,000+ partner pickup points.
- Owned the order-management core of the platform: a Go service with ~345 gRPC/REST endpoints serving ~1.5K RPS at peak across four production Kubernetes clusters (Helm, HPA), instrumented with OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.
- Rebuilt the order state machine into a data-driven workflow engine (7 production workflows) with one transactional applier and optimistic-concurrency PostgreSQL writes: new order workflows ship as configuration, not code releases.
- Built the money paths (estimates in exact decimal arithmetic, phased payments, e-signatures, hand-off to 1C accounting), guarded by 13 scheduled reconciliation jobs, protecting 1B+ RUB in monthly contractor payouts.
- Shipped an LLM debugging agent into the team's Mattermost that triages bug reports by querying a read-only Postgres replica, logs, YouTrack, and GitLab, cutting median bug triage from ~30 minutes to under 5.
Senior Backend Engineer · One Technologies
Jan 2022 – Mar 2023Remote, Kazakhstan. Software integrator building banking and marketing platforms for Kazakhstan's banks.
- Delivered ForteBank's marketing automation platform: Go microservices (gRPC, Kafka, Redis) behind HCL Unica running SMS, push, and voice campaigns for 1M+ customer interactions a day.
- Cut typical cross-database campaign queries from ~2s to 800ms across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Greenplum.
- Designed the audience-segmentation service assembling overnight campaign target lists across three databases, run as Temporal workflows on Terraform-provisioned AWS (DynamoDB, Kubernetes).
- Mentored two junior engineers on the delivery team through code review and pairing.
Backend Engineer · One Technologies
Feb 2020 – Jan 2022- Built REST integrations in Go and Python between the marketing platform and core banking APIs.
- Automated audience data-cleansing pipelines in Python and PL/SQL across PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Set up Grafana dashboards and alerting for nightly campaign jobs.
